PRE-REQUISITES: This course is not suitable for beginners. Students should have prior experience with solo jazz and be familiar with basic steps such as half break, full break, Tacky Annie, Applejack and Suzie Q.

Improvisation is at the heart of jazz music and dance. This month, we’ll focus on building the confidence and skills you need to improvise with ease and authenticity without set choreography.
Through guided exercises, we’ll explore groove, body awareness, rhythm, and staying present in the moment. Our goal is for everyone to feel confident and inspired to simply dance in the moment, embodying the music and trusting their own body.
